Vadim Finkelchtein: “Fedor didn’t lose this fight”

M-1 Global owner, Vadim Finkelchtein is having a tough time swallowing the fact that the promotions bread and butter, Fedor Emelianenko picked up his second consecutive loss inside the cage this past Saturday night, saying as far as he’s concerned the Russian didn’t lose the fight.

Finkelchtein, speaking via, said:

“We didn’t ask for medical assistance. There’s just a severe swelling, and no real damage to the eye. Doctor put an ice pack on it, and now Fedor is resting. I think that the ring doctors made the right decision to stop the fight because Fedor couldn’t see anything out of his right eye, and who knows what kind of consequences could hide behind the swelling. But fortunately, everything is alright. Fedor didn’t lose this fight. He won the first round, survived the second, and if not that eye swelling, who knows what could have happened in the third. Fedor was ready to continue the fight.”
