UFN 24 Facebook Prelims now set to feature five live bouts on Saturday Night

The UFC have added another three bouts set to air live and free on the popular social network, Facebook this coming weekend for UFC Fight Night 24 from Seattle, Washington. Announced earlier was heavyweights Jon Madsen and Mike Russow and featherweights Alex Caceres and Mackens Semerzier. Now John Hathaway vs. Kris McCray, Michael McDonald vs. Edwin Figueroa and Sean McCorkle vs. Christian Morecraft will all be streamed live and for free as well.

“The Hitman” is now 14-1 and was strongly considered to be the best British prospect in the UFC after defeating the likes of Rick Story, Paul Taylor, and Diego Sanchez. Hathaway then fell short at UFC 120 when pitted against experienced grappler Mike Pyle who controlled and beat up on the brit to take the unanimous decision. Since appearing on TUF, Kris ‘Savage’ McCray was submitted in the second round of the season finale by Court McGee before cutting to 170 pounds to face Carlos Eduardo Rocha at UFC 122 in November. McCray was quickly submitted by a nasty kneebar.

McDonald fought once for the WEC before it folded, winning impressively with a first round submission via armbar over veteran, Clint Godfrey. He’ll be looking to further impress on the biggest stage of them all as he makes his octagon debut. Figueroa in undefeated in his mixed martial arts career, holding a record of 7-0 overall. The fighter has competed mostly in the Texas area on regional promotional shows, picking up a number of impressive stoppage wins.

McCorkle suffered the first loss of his MMA career earlier this month, losing via TKO to six-foot-eleven, Stefan Struve at UFC 124 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Prior to that he’d submitted PRIDE vet, Mark Hunt in just 67 seconds. Morecraft also lost to Struve last time out, dominating the Dutchman for the first round before getting knocked out in the second. Morecraft had won his previous six fights in the very first round before meeting “The Skyscraper”.
