UFC 119: Mir vs. Cro Cop – all drug tests come back clean

The Indiana Gaming Commission has confirmed that nine of the 22 competitors who were tested for illegal/banned substances after competing at UFC 119: “Mir vs. Cro Cop” on Sept. 25 have all come back clean.

Nine of the fighters were tested on the card for performance enhancers such as steroids and drugs of abuse like cocaine and marijuana, among others, with all nine returning a negative result.

Seven of the nine fighters came from the high profile names on the main card of the evening, with Frank Mir, Mirko Cro Cop, Ryan Bader, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Chris Lytle, Sean Sherk and Melvin Guillard making the list. Preliminary card fighters, C.B. Dollaway and Matt Mitrione made it nine.

The fighters mentioned were randomly selected. However, athletic commissions typically test the main event participants and fight night winners, as well as those who have failed drug tests in the past.
