UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin Official Results

Former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell and fellow former UFC champion Rich Franklin engaged in a stand-up brawl that almost went the one round distance, as Liddell closed in with a tight elbow Franklin became woozy, Liddell rushed in to finish him off only to run into a short right to the chin that left Liddell on his back forcing Referee Herb Dean to step in for the stoppage at the 4:55 mark.

The stand-up battle which Franklin won with just five seconds remaining in the opening round, served as the main event bout of Saturday’s UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin event at GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
