Two UFC 168 Drug Tests Come Back Inconclusive

Two fighters from the UFC 168 fight card came back with inconclusive drug tests after the event on Dec. 28, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Nevada State Athletic Commission informed UFC Tonight that all fighters returned negative results except for Dennis Siver and Siyar Bahadurzada.

After their fights all athletes must submit two samples to the athletic commission for testing. The A sample from Siver and Bahadurzada came back inconclusive, and the commission is awaiting the results of their B samples.

An inconclusive result doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with foul play. The A sample may have had a inconclusive result for a number of reasons. For example it may have been diluted or contaminated.
