Tim Sylvia on stand-by to replace Todd Duffee at Titan Fighting Championship 16

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Tim Sylvia has been put on stand-by to replace Todd Duffee at Titan Fighting Championship 16 in January after the 25-year-old accepted a fight with Alistair Overeem at Dynamite!! 2010 in Japan this coming weekend.

The promotion is concerned that Duffee will return from Japan injured as he will enter the bout with the recent K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 tournament winner as a heavy underdog. Sylvia would therefore face past TUF cast member, Abe Wagner on the card.

Sylvia has really turned himself around, from three straight defeats to a four fight winning streak, including a second round knockout win over former title contender, Paul Buentello earlier this year.
