Strikeforce middleweight title contender, Tim Kennedy has an opponent change once again after it was revealed he’ll likely face Dutch kickboxer, Melvin Manhoef and not Luke Rockhold on the March 5th event in Columbus, Ohio. Kennedy was originally set to face Jason “Mayhem” Miller in a rubber match.
Kennedy seen his four fight winning streak, hich included a first round submission win over Trevor Prangley, come to an end when he lost a five-round decision to Strikeforce middleweight champion, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza back in August.
Manhoef has lost four of his last six fights against top-level competitors in Gegard Mousasi, Paulo Filho, Robbie Lawler, and last time out Tatsuya Mizuno at Dream.15. He will be looking to get his first win under the Strikeforce banner after losing to above mentioned, Robbie Lawler in January 2010 via first round knockout.
