Thiago Silva out, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Rashad Evans II at UFC 130

Earlier today it was said that UFC light heavyweight contender, Thiago Silva was pulled from his UFC 130 fight with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson due tp injury, but now the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s Executive Director, Keith Kizer has revealed that one drug screening from UFC 125 is still under investigation, although he wouldn’t confirm which fighter it was, he did confirm that Silva was tested at the event. Silva did look notably stronger and bigger during his dominant unanimous decision win over former heavyweight contender, Brandon Vera that night.

Now it appears that former UFC light heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans is set to step back into the octagon with bitter rival, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson sooner than expected after it was revealed he’s agreed to replace Thiago Silva at UFC 130 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jackson got back to winning ways and back into title contention with a win over another former 205 pound champion, Lyoto Machida. Prior to that he’d dropped a unanimous decision to his bitter rival, Evans, who secured himself a title shot with the win over the man from Memphis and decided to sit back and wait for Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to recover from injury which backfired last week when he picked up an injury himself and was forced to withdraw.
