The Ultimate Fighter Live is done after just one season following the announcement that the sixteenth season of the hit reality show will be going back to the original taped format. UFC President, Dana White revealed the news today, adding he expects the show to be shifted to another night if it doesn’t do that well early on.
White, speaking via MMAWeekly, said:
“FX wants to try it again on Friday nights. But if it’s not up to the standards I’m expecting, I’m pretty sure they’ll give me what I want. But this season was a smash hit home run for them. (If) this next season isn’t up to the standards I expect, they promised me we can move it to Tuesday or Wednesday.”
Season sixteen of the reality show will begin casting in about three weeks with the welterweights being showcased this time around. The new season will then debut in September on Friday nights at 10.00pm.
