Thaigo Silva officially out of UFC 130 bout with “Rampage” due to steroids

The official word is out and top-rated Brazilian light heavyweight, Thiago Silva will not be facing former champion, Quinton “Rampage Jackson at UFC 130 on May 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the promotion officially informing the parties involved yesterday.

A source close to the UFC confirmed the news just minutes ago, adding the fighter has tested positive for steroids. There had been some confusion after the Nevada State Athletic Commission failed to name the fighter under investigation, as well as Silva claiming one of two tests had come back clean.

Silva is likely to suffer a fine and a suspension if his lawyers can’t come up with some evidence to prove his innocence when he goes in front of the commission later this year.
