Tachi Palace Fights 6: High Stakes Official Results

TPF 6: HIGH STAKES was held Thursday September 9, 2010 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California, the former home of the WEC.

The Ultimate Fighter 11 participant Kyacey “Ice Cold” Uscola began his quest to a UFC return with an impressive KO over former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion Doug “Rhino” Marshall in the main event.

In the co-main event, Leopoldo Serao won the vacant TPF Middleweight Championship in a close fight that went the distance with Anthony “El Toro” Ruiz. After 25 grueling minutes, Serao’s hand was raised for the split decision victory.

Former WEC Lightweight Champion “Razor” Rob McCullough went the distance with TUF 5 participant Corey “The Real Deal” Hill in a fight that ended up being more competitive than I thought it would be. Hill’s record has fallen to 4-4 and he is drifting farther and farther away from a possible UFC return.

Top featherweight prospect Micah “The Maverick” Miller, brother of UFC fighter Cole Miller, won a unanimous decision over former UFC lightweight Diego “The Octopus” Saraiva. Top flyweight prospect Darrell “The Mongoose” Montague KO’d Luis “Speedy” Gonzalez. TUF 11’s Joe “Leonidas” Henle and Collin Hart fought to a unanimous draw after 15 minutes. Current Bellator semifinalist Zoila Frausto’s little sister, Stephanie “Macaquinha” Frausto was outpointed by Paulina “Sweetness” Ramirez on two judges’ scorecards, giving Ramirez the split decision victory. Mickey Martinez and Art Becerra also picked up wins Thursday night in Lemoore.
