Strikeforce to renegotiate with Fedor Emelianenko over champion clause

Strikeforce will push for further negotiations over their current contract with Fedor Emelianenko, the new negotiations will be over a champions clause, something that would prevent the WAMMA champion from walking away if he did indeed captured a title in the promotion, something that does not exist in the current deal.

Fedor’s management insists for an immediate rematch with Fabricio Werdum, but Strikeforce seems intent on matching Fedor up with current heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem, with the winner facing Werdum for the title.

Strikeforce spokesman, Mike Afromowitz revealed to that they will be pushing to get the representatives from M-1 Global back around the table for further negotiations over the plause.
