Strikeforce: Nashville – Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Tim Stout

Jason “Mayhem” Miller (22-7 MMA, 0-1 SF) and Tim Stout (9-7 MMA, 0-0 SF) has been paired to replace heavyweight Bobby Lashley’s slot on the CBS-televised “Strikeforce: Nashville.”

Upon approval by the Tennessee Athletic Commission, Miller vs. Stout will be the final non-televised fight of the April 17th event and may air on tape delay during the televised portion of the two-hour broadcast, which begins at 8 p.m. ET.

Miller lost his last fight for Strikeforce’s vacant Middleweight title via unanimous decision to Jake Shields. Although unable to resist the takedown from Shields, he scored a few slams himself late in the first round, and came the closest to finishing the fight out of either competitor when he sunk in a rear naked choke with 10 seconds remaining in the third round, also locking Shields up with a body triangle.

Stout last appeared at “Bangkok Fight Night” where he picked up the win by defeated Phillip Wyman by unanimous decision.
