Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva Official Results

Former EliteXC heavyweight champion, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva pulled off the upset tonight to defeat formerly ranked number one fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko inside the Strikeforce cage in East Rutherford, New Jersey to advance to the grand prix semi-finals. Russian heavyweight, Sergei Kharitonov booked his place in the semi-finals of the promotions grand prix as well, knocking out former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski in the very first round.

Heavyweight prospect, Shane Del Rosario continued his march up the ranks in the division tonight with a first round arm bar submission win over veteran, Lavar Johnson. Heavyweight star on the rise, Chad Griggs proved his win over Bobby Lashley was not a fluke when he slugged it out with highly touted prospect, Gian Villante, pulling off an impressive first round TKO.

Strikeforce heavyweight submission machine, Valentjin Overeem has tonight marked his promotional debut with a win, defeating K-1 legend, Ray Sefo in the very first round, taking Sefo to the ground, landing in side control and locking up a neck crank to force the tap.
