SpikeTV to feature “UFC Prelims” for UFC 114, not UFC 113

The UFC will hold off until May 29th before returning to SPIKE TV for their preliminary card fights, that’s right SpikeTV won’t air a “UFC Prelims” broadcast for next month’s UFC 113 event.

“UFC Prelims” do return for UFC 114 on May 29th, and the preliminary-card bouts featured will be “The Ultimate Fighter 7” winner Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim and “TUF 8” winner Efrain Escudero vs. Dan Lauzon.

In the main event fans will finally see the grudge match betweem “Ultimate Fighter” coaches, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans.

Six “UFC Prelims” specials have aired since UFC 103, and drawn from 1.2 million viewers (UFC 111) to 1.7 million viewers (UFC 109).

The number of “UFC Prelims” specials could from increase in 2011 and become regular offerings prior to most, if not all, PPV broadcasts.
