Roy Nelson pulled from UFC 125 card after Shane Carwin injures back

TUF 10 winner, Roy Nelson has been pulled from his spot on the UFC 125 card in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 1st, after his opponent, Shane Carwin, picked up a back injury during training earlier this month.

Nelson had hoped to retain the co-main event slot and face former PRIDE legend, Mirko Cro Cop but it appears the promotion has other plans for him. Recent news suggests the UFC featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Josh Grispi will now feature as the nights main event.

‘Big Country’ has been recovering from knee surgery he immediately had after his title-eliminator match at UFC 117 against Junior Dos Santos. Nelson lost the fight via unanimous decision, and will be looking to rebound and get back on the title track.
