Rosie Sexton Getting Neck Surgery After Release From The UFC

Former UFC women’s bantamweight, Rosi Sexton needs surgery to correct “prolapsed discs” in her next following her UFC 161 loss to Alexis Davis earlier this year, a loss that left released from the UFC altogether.

Sexton, speaking via sources had this to say:

“I managed to work through it in training and I don’t think it was a crucial factor in the outcome. However, it’s been getting worse and it’s now reached the point where I need to have it treated. A lot will depend on the outcome of the surgery and rehabilitation. I hope to be able to have at least a few more fights. At a minimum, I will be out of competition for six months following the surgery.”
