Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza & Lyoto Machida Talk Possible Meeting

Souza, a former Strikeforce champion, downed Francis Carmont, while Machida – an ex-UFC champ – defeated Gegard Mousasi.

“This fight can happen, yes,” said Souza, during the post-fight press conference (thanks to Guilherme Cruz for the quotes). “I wouldn’t like this fight, but I’d take it.”

Machida echoed those sentiments, saying, “Like ‘Jacare’ said, I wouldn’t like this fight, but I’d take it.”

UFC president Dana White previously stated that Machida could be in line to become the new No. 1 contender with a win over Mousasi, but “The Dragon” did mention a possible broken foot suffered in his five-round war.
