UFC interim bantamweight champion, Renan Barao revealed today that he is 100% recovered after suffering an ankle injury during training that forced him out of tonight’s UFC 161 clash with Eddie Wineland in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, as well as explaining how he’s still interested in facing the former WEC champion next.
Barao, via his Twitter said:
“Hello @danawhite @ufc ! I’m back and I’m very excited to fight again. You can schedule my new fight now. I’m 100%.”
Wineland also responded via his twitter, saying:
“Ready if you are @RenanBaraoUFC come on over to Milwaukee and we will get it done! Glad to hear ur ankle is better!”
Barao quickly responded:
“Thanks, bro. Let’s do this by fans! Could be in Milwaukee, Brazil, UK, Canada, Natal… Anywhere!! So, @danawhite ??”
