Rashad Evans vs. Jones/Rampage, Shogun/Henderson for #1 Contender

UFC President, Dana White has confirmed that the winner of the UFC 139 main event bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Dan Henderson will indeed become the number one contender to face the winner of this Saturday nights main event title clash between light heavyweight champ, Jon “Bones” Jones and number one contender and former champ, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and the number two contender, for now, Rashad Evans.

The President of the Las Vegas based promotion revealed that while Rashad Evans will meet the winner of this weekends title bout between Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, “Shogun” or “Hendo” would likely be next.

Rua put himself back in the title contention by avenging his past defeat against former light heavyweight champion, Forrest Griffin just last month in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Henderson heads back to the octagon for the third time as the Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and coming off a knocked out win over Fedor Emelianenko.
