Quinton “Rampage” Jackson: “Shogun fight will have to wait. I have to get surgery on both knees.”

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has revealed that a double knee surgery will delay his rematch with Mauricio “Shogun” Rua later this year, a fight that will most likely bring an end to his career inside the octagon.

Rampage, posting via his Twitter account, said:

“To keep it real, the Shogun fight will have to wait. I just found out that I have to get surgery on both knees. But I heal fast, don’t trip.”

This injury appears to be the same one that prevented him from making weight at UFC 144 and seemed to contribute considerably to a below-par performance against Ryan Bader in Japan.
