PRIDE veteran Aleksander Emelianenko has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison due to an aggravated sexual assault charge and conviction.
The news comes via sources that say his conviction followed an incident that took place in in March 2014. He’s has been charged guilty of attacking a woman who was hired to clean his apartment, and stealing her passport.
This is not Emelianenko’s first run in with the law, he has a lengthy history of criminal acts, he is the is the younger brother of former heavyweight great and longtime PRIDE champion Fedor Emelianenko.
The younger Emelianenko (23-7) most recently fought in January 2014, when he suffered a TKO loss to Dmitry Sosnowski. It followed a 6-1 run – his best stretch of fights since a eight-fight winning streak from 2007-2010.
