Paul “Semtex” Daley signs a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce

As expected, former UFC welterweight, Paul “Semtex” Daley has found a new home, signing a multi-fight deal with California MMA promotion, Strikeforce.

This follows the news that the promotion have also signed Daley’s last opponent, Jorge Masvidal and former UFC heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett earlier this week.

Daley made his first post-UFC appearance when he defeated Daniel Acacio at an Impact Fighting Championships event in Sydney, Australia. He then faced Jorge Masvidal at Shark Fights 13: Jardine vs. Prangley, and won via unanimous decision. Before the fight, he weighed in Three quarters of a pound overweight and was forced to give up 10% of his “show purse”.

Daley, speaking via his Facebook account, said:

“its official. I have now signed a deal with US based fight promotion STRIKEFORCE. Go to for more information.”
