Patrick Cote vs. Kalib Starnes at Ringside MMA event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on April 9th

Earlier today Ringside MMA announced, during a press conference with their fighters, that former UFC middleweight title contender, Patrick Cote has an opponent for his return to MMA with Canadian based promotion, Ringside MMA, “The Predator” will face former TUF cast member, Kalib Starnes on April 9th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Cote was cut by the UFC last year after failing to deliver inside the cage on three seperate occasions. Cote landed awkwardly on his right leg while throwing a kick vs. Anderson Silva, referee Herb Dean declared the fight over when Cote could not continue, ruling the bout a TKO victory for Silva. “The Predator” returned from his injury and was submitted via rear naked choke in the second round by Alan Belcher. Cote’s last fight in the octagon was against Tom Lawlor UFC 121, out-wrestled for all three rounds.

Starnes has been on a rollercoaster since being cut from the UFC after running from Nate Quarry for three rounds, defeating Chris Cisneros, Marcus Hicks and Nick Hinchliffe, while losing to Hector Lombard and Falaniko Vitale.
