Olympic Silver Medallist, Sara McMann Could Be Next to Enter the Octagon

2004 Olympic freestyle wrestling silver medallist, Sara McMann has become the latest female that could throw their name in the hat, after she revealed she’s in talks to join the Ultimate Fighting Championship, to become a serious challenge to current 135 pound queen, Ronda Rousey inside the octagon.

McMann, posting via her Twitter account, said:

“Everyone keeps asking me if I am in the UFC. All I know is that it is ‘in the works”

McMann improved to 6-0 in her MMA career on July 28 when she scored a unanimous decision over veteran Shayna Baszler in a match-of-the-year-candidate caliber contest. Three of her six wins have come via submission. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this as we get it.
