Number One Ranked Female Boxer, Holly Holm to Focus Entirely on MMA Career

The number one ranked female boxer in the world, Holly Holm has revealed she is leaving the ring behind for good in order to focus on a career inside the cage, just as Women’s mixed martial arts is about to blow up.

Holm announced the news earlier today during a press conference, adding her last boxing match will be May 11th, 2013.

Holm is an eighteen-time, three-division world champion in boxing and has a 32-2-3 boxing record. She is 3-0 in MMA bouts at 135 pounds, with her biggest win coming over veteran, Jan Finney.

The 5’8″ southpaw is from Sandia Heights in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She played soccer and tried gymnastics, swimming and diving before getting into boxing and kickboxing and ultimately mixed martial arts.
