Nick Diaz Has No Plans on Switching to Boxing and Will Return to MMA

Former Strikeforce welterweight champion, Nick Diaz has confirmed that he has no plans to switch to boxing despite rumours and will eventually return to the mixed martial arts scene.

Diaz appeared on the first ever MMA Uncensored LIVE on Spike TV, revealing the news. The controversial fighter also revealed he was unable to discuss his marijuana ruling as it may damage his defence when he finally steps in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission later this year.

Diaz said he would quit the sport following his UFC 143 unanimous decision loss to Carlos Condit in a post-fight speech where he admitted he was “done with the sport”. Before he dows return he could be facing a twelve month suspension for testing positive for banned substances.
