MFC Middleweight Title Set For Friday, Mutapcic & Henle on Target for MFC 35

The Maximum Fighting Championship’s world middleweight title fight is set to go at MFC 35: Explosive Encounter this Friday night in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Contenders Elvis Mutapcic and Joseph Henle were both perfect on the scale during Thursday’s official weigh-in and they will vie for the vacant crown live on AXS TV Fights beginning at 10 p.m. ET/8 p.m. MT/7 p.m. PT (check local listings for channel designation).

Mutapcic (11-2), who is originally from Bosnia and now fights out of Des Moines, Iowa, weighed in at 184.4, while Henle (8-0-1), who trains in Thousand Oaks, California, stepped off at 184.6. The other key bout at MFC 35 is between two young Canadian standouts in the heavyweight division. Unbeaten Smealinho Rama (4-0) hit the scale at 260.0, while six-foot-six opponent Ryan Fortin weighed in at 261.2.
