  • A welterweight title contest between current champion, Robbie Lawler and top contender, Tyron Woodley was announced today for the UFC 201 card set to go down on July 30th in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Chris Weidman injured, out of UFC 199 title fight against Luke Rockhold
  • Joe Rogan appeared briefly on Monday’s edition of “The MMA Hour” at Rogan, who joined Schaub and Callen on Skype during their segment on Ariel Helwani’s weekly MMA talk show, revealed that if the rumors are true regarding the potential sale of the UFC, he would “100 percent” leave the company. Rogan’s contract with the UFC expires in August of this year.
  • UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has come to new terms with UFC, announcing that he’s signed an eight-fight deal with the organization. In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Johnson discussed the signing, and why he got what he wanted from them without needing to hit free agency. “I’ve signed a new eight-fight deal, I’m very excited to announce that,” Johnson said. “I think there’s great things to come in the future… I think when fighters [test free agency], they want to see what they’re worth, but at the same time, if they negotiate with the UFC, and they get what they like, there’s no point going and testing free agency. And the thing is, even Rampage Jackson said it before, nobody treats you better than the UFC.”
  • Stipe Miocic received a hero’s welcome when returning home:

    According to a report from TMZ Sports, the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to host him as their special guest ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Per the report, they’re planning to honor Miocic during the proceedings.
