Maurcio “Shogun” Rua Now Facing Ovince Saint Preux At UFC Fight Night Brazil

Another switch has been made to the main event for next weekend’s UFC Fight Night card in Brazil due to Jimi Manuwa breaking his foot and forcing him out of his fight with Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Ovince Saint Preux was already competing in the co-main event but is now stepping up to take Manuwa’s place in the headline spot against Rua.

UFC president Dana White announced the news via his Twitter today.

Saint Preux was originally set to face Francimar Barroso but due to Manuwa’s injury the UFC opted to shift him up to the headline spot. It is unknown at this time whether Barroso will remain on the card against a different opponent or not.

UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Saint Preux will take place next Saturday night, November 8 from Brazil with the card airing live on FOX Sports 1
