Mark Hunt Says Tomorrow’s the “Last Possible Day” He Can Get His Visa for UFC 160

UFC heavyweight, Mark Hunt revealed today that he’s going to attempt once more to get his visa sorted out for his UFC 160 clash with Junior dos Santos next weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, otherwise the fight will be canceled and the UFC will have to make other arrangements for the Brazilian.

Hunt, speaking via said:

“The training has been really, really good — I have had one of the best camps of my whole career, and it has been here [in Auckland]. I am ready to go. The problem is to acclimatize. I have fought a few times in America [and] acclimatization is really important. It is a shame to go and waste all of this hard work on three or four days of jet lag.”

Hunt is riding a four-fight winning streak, defeating the likes of Chris Tuchscherer, Ben Rothwell, Cheick Kongo and Stefan Struve during that run. A very different path from his six-fight losing streak he was on prior to that which saw him fight under the PRIDE and DREAM banners. He’ll face former champion, Junior dos Santos at UFC 160 on May 25th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
