Marcus Davis cut by the UFC following yet another dissapointing loss

Long-time UFC veteran, Marcus Davis has become another high profile fighter to be cut by the Las Vegas based promotion this week, after losing four out of his last five fights inside the octagon, most recently at the hands of hard hitting lightweight, Jeremy Stephens at UFC 125.

Davis’ manager, Joe Cavallaro, speaking via, said:

“He felt real strong at 155 (pounds). He made a mistake. The guy’s been fighting forever, and he has no plans of retiring. Between all the ‘Fight of the Night,’ ‘Knockout of the Night,’ and ‘Submission of the Night’ bonuses, he’s showed that he’s a very exciting fighter to watch. Now, it’s just a matter of figuring out the next move. We’re talking to a few people right now.
