M-1 Global confirms Fedor Emelianenko will not retire despite interest in politics

M-1 Global’s director of operations, Evgeni Kogan has revealed that WAMMA heavyweight champion, Fedor Emelianenko has no intention of retiring from the sport of mixed martial arts despite showing an interest in politics.

Kogan, speaking via Sherdog.com, said:

“He will easily be able to do both. There has never been talk of one replacing the other.”

Fedor will compete in Strikeforce on June 26th when he takes on Fabricio Werdum in San Jose, California. One day prior the Russian primary elections that will be his first step into the political arena.
