Luke Rockhold and Sara McMann Injured, Pulled From Nov. 3rd Strikeforce Event

Strikeforce middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold has been forced to withdraw from his November 3rd title defence in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with a wrist injury, while the highly anticipated Strikeforce debut of Sara McMann will be postponed as well after she picked up a yet to be disclosed injury.

The ultra-talented champ was set to face heavy hitter, Lorenz Larkin in the co-main event on the same card that was due to see Daniel Cormier face Frank Mir before Mir pulled out with an injury. The details regarding Sara McMann’s injury was not disclosed, but she will be unable to competeon the November 3rd event.

Rockhold was looking to make his third consecutive title defence in 2012 after already defeating Keith Jardine and Tim Kennedy. He won the title with an impressive five-round decision win over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza. McMann improved to 6-0 in her areer on July 28th when she scored a unanimous decision over veteran Shayna Baszler in a fight-of-the-year-candidate.
