Kenny Florian injured, Melvin Guillard vs. Evan Dunham at Fight for the Troops

Former two-time title contender, Kenny Florian will not face top prospect, Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 23 on January 22nd after “KenFlo” picked up an injury in the last few days in training.

The good news is that the UFC have quickly jumped in to fill the vacant main card slot, pulling Melvin Guillard from his fight against Yves Edwards and bumping him up to face Evan Dunham, it’s currently unclear whether Edwards will remain on the card.

Dunham’s undefeated streak came to an end when he lost a very close split decision to former UFC lightweight champion, Sean Sherk. Prior to his first loss he held wins over the likes of Efrain Escudero and Tyson Griffin.

Guillard, who currently trains under Greg Jackson is currently riding a three fight winning streak after defeating Ronnys Torres, Waylon Lowe and most recently Jeremy Stephens inside the octagon.
