Kelvin Gastelum Misses Weight Again, Cerrone Bout Off of UFC 205

Kelvin Gastelum didn’t show up at today’s early and official UFC 205 weigh-ins and instead announced he was unable to make the required 171-pound weight. His welterweight fight with Donald Cerrone was subsequently pulled from the main card.

In addition to Gastelum, who’s now missed weight three times at welterweight, former 170-pound contender Thiago Alves came in at 162.6 pounds – 6.6 pounds over the 156-pound limit – for his lightweight bout with Jim Miller. Because the commission required the fighters to be within five pounds of each other, Miller rehydrated and weighed in over the 156-pound limit for what is now a 163-pound catchweight affair. Alves was fined 20 percent of his purse (Miller wasn’t fined) and can weigh no more than 173 pounds on fight night.

The new UFC 205 lineup includes:
