Kamal Shalorus and Bart Palaszewski set to sign with UFC after success in WEC

Iranian born WEC vet, Kamal Shalorus and former IFL and WEC veteran, Bart Palaszewski have done enough to convince the top dogs in UFC to give both a shot inside the octagon, with news today that both are set to sign multi-fight deal’s with the Las Vegas based promotion.

Shalorus’ manager, Monte Cox revealed the news earlier today, as well as adding it could be as simple as transferring the four remaining fights he had with the WEC over onto a new contract.

Palaszewski, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:

“I was happy obviously, but I thought that I was going anyway. That excitement was already going since we found out about the merger, so I was kind of already excited about it.”

“I don’t know if I was worried (about getting cut) I mean I had a game plan set in my mind of what I was going to need to do. At worst I thought they would ask me to get a fight outside the Zuffa organization, and maybe come back, like they had me do after my two losses. I was staying really positive and it worked out well.”
