Junior dos Santos is not going to wait around for injured, Cain Velasquez

It appears UFC heavyweight number one contender, Junior dos Santos is set to take another fight, in what could be a interim title fight, following yesterday’s news that current UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez is out for the next six-eight months due to a torn rotator cuff.

dos Santos’ manager, Ed Soares, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:

“He is not going to wait six months.”

The Brazilian was last in action at UFC 117 in August, defeating TUF 10 winner, Roy Nelson via unanimous decision. Prior to that dos Santos has defeated the likes of Fabricio Werdum, Stefan Struve, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Gilbert Yvel, and Gabriel Gonzaga, and all within the distance just to put a stamp on it.
