Josh Barnett will skip his California State Athletic Commission hearing to train for Strikeforce WGP

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett is set to stir the pot once again next month after it appears he will skip his latest hearing with the California State Athletic Commission over his relicensing in the state to train.

“Baby Face” has indicated he needs to concentrate on his training for the forthcoming Strikeforce heavyweight tournament quarter final bout vs. Brett Rogers, even though it won’t take place until April. CSAC Executive Director, George Dodd revealed they would be making a ruling with or without him.

The two sides have gone back and forth on more than one occasion in the past, with Barnett failing to turn up on repeated occasions before the commission turned him away on late last year as they felt he didn’t have sufficient legal representation present at the time.
