Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar Super Fight Rebooked for Super Bowl Weekend

The super fight between current UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo and former UFC lightweight champion, Frankie Edgar has been rebooked for UFC 156 Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 2nd, 2013. UFC officials confirmed the news tonight via their official website, meaning bout agreements have likely been signed by both.

Aldo has ran through the ranks of the UFC, defeating Mark Hominick, Kenny Florian and most recently handed Chad Mendes his first professional MMA loss, a first round TKO in Brazil.

Edgar, who is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, will look to bounce back from extremely controversial back-to-back losses to UFC lightweight champ, Benson Henderson in 2012. Prior to that he defeated the likes of BJ Penn and Gray Maynard on two separate occasions a pair.
