Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar 145 Pound Super Fight at UFC 156 in Brazil

The featherweight super fight between current 145 pound champion, Jose Aldo and former 155 pound champion, Frankie Edgar is expected to headline UFC 156 which will go down on January 19th somewhere in Brazil. Sources close to the situation revealed the news today, not naming the exact city but most likely it will be Rio de Janeiro.

Aldo has ran through the ranks of the UFC, defeating Mark Hominick, Kenny Florian and most recently handed Chad Mendes his first professional MMA loss, a first round TKO in Brazil.

Edgar, who is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, will look to bounce back from extremely controversial back-to-back losses to UFC lightweight champ, Benson Henderson in 2012. Prior to that he defeated the likes of BJ Penn and Gray Maynard on two separate occasions a pair.
