Jorge Gurgel resigns another multi-fight deal with Strikeforce, returns March

Brazilian lightweight, Jorge Gurgel has signed yet another multi-fight contract with California based MMA promotion, Strikeforce despite losing more fights than he’s won during the two years with them.

Apparently Gurgel has signed a five fight deal, with a potential fight to take place on the March 5th card in Columbus, Ohio. No opponent has been named as of yet.

Since coming to the Strikeforce roster, Gurgel picked up a unanimous decision win over Conor Heun in 2009 which marked his debut, but went on to lose a very exciting unanimous decision to Billy Evangelista in November of the same year. He was last seen in action in August when he suffered a brutal second round knockout loss at the hands of former EliteXC 160 pound champion, K.J. Noons.
