Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen Named as TUF 17 Coaches, Meet April 27th

UFC President, Dana White has announced that light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones will square off with former two-time middleweight title contender, Chael Sonnen on April 27th after the both serve as coaches on season seventeen of “The Ultimate Fighter”.

UFC president Dana White told the L.A. Times’ Lance Pugmuire that Jones’ elbow injury, suffered in his September 22nd bout against Vitor Belfort, will require extensive physical therapy, which will put him on the sidelines for the foreseeable future. Speaking via the LA Times, Dana said:

“This should be a good one. Jon has accepted the fight. He knows the fans want to see that fight.”

Sonnen’s fight with Forrest Griffin, set for UFC 155 on December 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada has been cancelled.
