Johny Hendricks Undergoing Surgery For A Torn Bicep

UFC welterweight champion, Johny Hendricks spoke this week about how he suffered a torn bicep and fractured shin while capturing the title at UFC 171 this past weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hendricks did his media rounds on Wednesday, explaining the injury. His manager Ted Ehrhardt confirmed to sources that Hendricks will undergo surgery on his right bicep on Monday. According to Ehrhardt, Hendricks, who injured his bicep approximately two weeks before the fight and considered withdrawing from it as a result, heard it pop in the first round against Lawler. He also suffered a hairline fracture in his left shin in the first round.

If Monday’s surgery goes well he will be able to start rehab in six weeks.
