Joe Stevenson injured, Tyson Griffin steps up vs. Gomi at UFC on Versus 2

Joe “Daddy” Stevenson has been forced out of his bout with Takanori Gomi due to a knee injury. The UFC have found a suitable replacement for the UFC on Versus 2 event August 1st in San Diego, California.

According to Dave Meltzer, Xtreme Couture fighter, Tyson Griffin has stepped up with a point to prove after being controlled by Evan Dunham earlier this month.

Gomi also has something to prove after going down via submission in the third round of his octagon debut to Kenny Florian.
