Jason MacDonald: “I’ll hopefully retire from the UFC in the Calgary show.”

UFC middleweight vet, Jason MacDonald speaks ahead of his mid-May showdown with Tom Lawlor, revealing that he’s already looking forward to his next and final bout when
the promotion heads to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for UFC 149 in July, a bout that will be his last.

MacDonald, speaking during a recent press conference in Calgary, said:

“I’m excited on a personal level. I got a tough fight coming in May, but I really hope to be a part of the show (in Calgary). It’ll be a storybook ending for me. I’ll hopefully retire from the UFC in the Calgary show. For me the show is really special.”

With UFC 149 two months after his UFC on FUEL 3 showdown with Tom Lawlor it’s not inconceivable that the Canadian could make the Calgary card as well.
