Jamie Varner won’t be making his return to the UFC octagon anytime soon

Former WEC lightweight champion, Jamie Varner has become another fighter that won’t be making the switch to the UFC, but may be the only high profile fighter to be axed by Zuffa following the merger earlier this month.

The news was confirmed by Varner’s management group at KO Reps and first reported by PunchDrunkGamer.com.

Varner has gone 0-3-1 in his last four fights, drawing with Kamal Shalorus before losing to Benson Henderson, Donald Cerrone and Shane Roller.
