Jake Shields Signs Multi Fight Deal With WSOF

Former UFC welterweight title contender, Jake Shields signed a multi-fight contract this week with up and coming MMA promoters, World Series of Fighting, mere days after he was released from his Zuffa contract.

The fighters management team announced the news earlier today, although the specifics of the contract are unclear at this point. He was last seen in action earlier this year when he lost a drab decision to Hector Lombard.

Shields’ manager Lex McMahon characterized the signing as a multi-fight deal, while WSOF executive vice president told Ariel Helwani that officials are targeting a promotional debut for Shields in July.
