Hermes Franca Sentenced To 42 Months In Prison In Sexual Abuse Case

Former UFC lightweight contender, Hermes Franca was given 42 months in prison today after entering a guilty plea to charges related to the sexual abuse of an underage girl at his Clackamas County, Oregon jiu-jitsu academy in December of 2010.

Originally arrested on seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree unlawful penetration, OregonLive reports that Franca pleaded guilty to one count of each for a sentence of forty-two months in prison, with the other charges being dropped.

As part of his sentence, Franca will also be subject to four and a half years of supervision after he serves his prison term and will be mandated to register as a sex offender.
