Gilbert Yvel latest fighter cut by the UFC after three straight losses

Veteran Dutch heavyweight, Gilbert Yvel has been the latest fighter removed from the UFC’s roster after suffering a trio of defeats inside the octagon, the last of which being a first round TKO defeat at the hands of Jon Madsen at UFC 121 last month.

Yvel made his UFC debut at the turn of the year and was promptly knocked out by current heavyweight number one contender, Junior dos Santos in the first round. Later in the year he took on Ben Rothwell, who took the former PRIDE star down at will and controlled him for a decision win.

Unfortunately Yvel will probably be best remembered for his bad behaviour in the past. First came the biting, the rake of the eyes, and finally last but not least dropping a referee before kicking him while he was down.
